Salary: $134,500/year - $261,500/year
We are looking for an experienced Software Development Engineer to join our newly formed EC2 Networking team at Amazon Web Services. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for leading and contributing to a new business initiative focused on enhancing EC2 network analysis capabilities and providing critical network connectivity services.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of engineers, mentor junior members, and ensure best development practices are followed.
- Play a hands-on role in managing day-to-day development activities, including architecture decisions, design reviews, and code implementations.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies, collaborate with the development team, and introduce new tech innovations.
- Communicate with stakeholders to gather requirements, define product features, and outline technical designs and strategies.

Basic Qualifications:
- 5+ years of professional software development experience
- Proficiency in at least one programming language
- Leadership experience in designing and scaling systems
- Prior mentoring or team leadership role
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years of full software development life cycle experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
