Job Description
We are looking for a talented Software Development Engineer to join our team at Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. This position is with a newly formed EC2 Networking team, where you will lead a team contributing towards a new business initiative. Your role will involve defining, planning, and executing deliverables that drive significant improvements for both internal and external customers. You will have the opportunity to work on high-availability systems at a large scale and collaborate with a diverse team of engineers.
Responsibilities
- Mentor junior engineers and ensure the right development practices are followed.
- Lead architecture decisions, participate in designs, code reviews, and implementation.
- Maintain technical knowledge and explore new technologies.
- Communicate with users, technical teams, and senior management.
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- Experience with one software programming language.
- Experience in leading design or architecture of systems.
- Previous mentorship or tech lead roles.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of full software development life cycle experience.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
