Job Description: Software Development Engineer - Blackfoot (AWS), EC2-Network telemetry and Classic Control Plane
Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. is seeking an experienced Software Development Engineer to join our newly formed EC2 Networking team. As a key player in this team, you will lead and contribute to a new business initiative aimed at enhancing peta-scale EC2 network analysis and providing critical network connectivity services in EC2.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a small team of engineers, mentor junior members, and ensure adherence to best development practices.
- Be actively involved in architectural decisions, design reviews, code reviews, and implementation.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, collaborate with management and development teams to introduce new technologies.
- Engage with users, technical teams, and senior management to gather requirements, define features, and communicate product strategy.

Basic Qualifications:
- 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language.
- Experience in leading design or architecture of systems.
- Past involvement in mentorship or leading engineering teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years of full software development lifecycle experience.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
