Job Description
We are looking for a talented Software Development Engineer to join Amazon Web Services at our Blackfoot location. In this role, you will lead a team contributing to a new business initiative focused on empowering rapid analysis for peta-scale EC2 network and providing highly available control & distribution plane services critical for network connectivity in EC2. As part of the AWS EC2 organization, you will have the opportunity to influence services, work on new initiatives, and drive improvements for internal and external customers.
Responsibilities
- Lead a small engineering team, mentor junior engineers, and ensure best development practices.
- Participate in architecture decisions, design reviews, code reviews, and implementations.
- Stay updated on new technologies and collaborate with management and teams for technology adoption.
- Gather requirements, describe software features, and communicate with users, technical teams, and senior management.

Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- Experience in programming with at least one software language.
- Design or architecture leadership experience.
- Previous mentorship or tech lead role.
Preferred Qualifications
- Full software development lifecycle experience.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
