Job Description

Hornblower is seeking talented Sous Chefs to join our culinary team in Boston, MA. The ideal candidate should be technically competent in food preparation, uphold high standards of hospitality, and maintain a safe and efficient kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and portion food items according to production requirements and sanitation standards.
  • Cook meals using standardized recipes and daily worksheets.
  • Ensure proper food handling procedures and maintain food quality and freshness.
  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and sanitized.
  • Adhere to all food safety standards and regulations.
  • Complete required training and follow safety policies.
  • Perform additional job duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • At least one year of previous kitchen experience preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Energetic personality with a service-oriented attitude.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and take direction.
  • Physically capable of lifting heavy items and standing for extended periods.
  • Availability to work on holidays.
  • Minimum state age requirements must be met.
