We are seeking a dedicated and versatile Bilingual Spanish Language Instructor to join our team at Thornton Township. As a Spanish Teacher, you will play a vital role in inspiring students to develop language proficiency and cultural awareness in both Spanish and English.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement engaging and communicative Spanish language lessons for students of diverse backgrounds and proficiency levels.
• Foster an immersive learning environment that encourages active use of Spanish in spoken and written communication.
• Integrate cultural elements into lessons to enhance students' understanding of the Spanish-speaking world.
• Evaluate student progress through assessments, projects, and interactive activities.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop cross-disciplinary projects integrating Spanish language learning.
• Stay updated on language teaching methodologies and incorporate innovative approaches into the curriculum.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Spanish, Education, or related field; master's degree is a plus.
• Native or near-native proficiency in Spanish and English.
• Teaching certification and/or relevant teaching experience.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Passion for fostering cross-cultural understanding and appreciation.
• Flexibility to adapt teaching methods to cater to diverse learning styles.
