Job Description
We are looking for a Senior Special Procedure Tech to join our team at Corewell Health. In this role, you will provide direct care to patients undergoing Heart and/or Vascular procedures, assist physicians, and ensure the delivery of quality patient-centered care. You will be responsible for performing IV starts, prep patients, monitor hemodynamics, operate equipment, document procedures, and provide patient/family education.
Responsibilities
- Monitor patients during routine invasive procedures and provide technical support.
- Perform and record hemodynamic/physiologic wave forms and calculations.
- Maintain radiation safety standards and perform quality assurance checks on technical equipment.
- May be required to provide training to less experienced techs.
Requirements
- More than 3 years of Interventional experience.
- Graduate of an accredited radiography program for Interventional Radiology, or Cardiovascular Technologist program for Cath Lab/EP Lab.
- BLS certification, ACLS certification (for certain departments), RT status, and additional certifications as per department requirements.
- Expertise in clinical skills and ability to train others.
