Job Description
The YMCA of Greater Grand Rapids is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Summer Day Camp Counselors for the upcoming summer. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and implementing fun and educational activities for children in grades Kindergarten to 7th, ensuring their safety and fostering their personal growth in alignment with YMCA core values.
Responsibilities
- Lead a variety of indoor and outdoor activities such as crafts, games, swimming, and nature exploration.
- Manage camper behavior and ensure a safe and clean environment.
- Communicate effectively with parents and maintain accurate program records.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and emergency procedures.
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Experience in youth programs or related fields is preferred.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Certification in CPR, First Aid, and other required training.
- Ability to lead activities and work well in a team.
