Surgical Technologist

Job Description

We are looking for a Surgical Technologist to join our dynamic team at OhioHealth. As a Surgical Technologist, you will be responsible for preparing operating rooms, assisting surgical teams during procedures, and ensuring optimal patient care. Your role is crucial in providing a safe and efficient surgical environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms for surgical procedures.
• Pass instruments and supplies to surgeons and assistants during surgeries.
• Act as a second assistant to the surgeon as needed.
• Assist in post-operative room decontamination.
• Monitor and maintain the sterile field throughout procedures.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association.
• Understanding of surgical procedures and ability to anticipate surgeon needs.
• Knowledge and skills in ensuring quality patient care.
• Ability to provide assistance in exposure, hemostasis, and other technical functions.

Work Schedule

Day shifts, 1 hour per week.
