FULL TIME-NIGHTS

We are seeking a dedicated Ultrasonographer to join our team at Corewell Health. As an integral member of our Diagnostic Radiology Ultrasound Department, you will perform accurate and efficient ultrasound exams, ensuring the best possible images for interpretation while adhering to our Patient and Family Centered Care philosophy.

Responsibilities:

• Verify patient identification and physician orders.
• Provide procedural information/education to patients and families.
• Acquire accurate patient history and document in medical records.
• Perform ultrasound exams using age-appropriate methods.
• Operate ultrasound imaging equipment proficiently.
• Monitor patients during procedures to ensure safety.
• Review ultrasound images with Radiologist as necessary.
• Ensure timely relay of STAT requests to radiologist.
• Assist with procedures using sterile technique when required.
• Ensure proper disposal of fluids according to protocols.
• Maintain cleanliness and stocking of exam rooms.
• Utilize hospital computer systems effectively for order verification and information sharing.
• Participate in inter/intra-departmental communication and training of new staff.
• Verify correct patient, exam, and orders.

Requirements:

• Graduate of Diagnostic Ultrasound Program or equivalent.
• Basic Life Support Certification for Healthcare Providers.
• Registered by ARDMS or Registry eligible.
• Ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily.
