Job Description
Genesis Healthcare is seeking a licensed practical nurse to join as a Wound Care Assistant Team Lead. In this role, you will facilitate a person-centered team approach to patient care related to the prevention and management of wounds within the nursing center under the guidance of the Skin Health Team Lead (SHTL) and the Director of Nursing (DON).
Responsibilities
- Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to communicate with patients, family members, and residents regarding skin and wound care.
- Lead team wound rounds, post-meet-ups, and provide training to staff on wound care procedures.
- Act as a clinical expert for skin, wound, and incontinent products while overseeing the Durable Medical Equipment related to wound management.
Requirements
- Must be a licensed practical nurse (LPN).
- Completion of Skin Health Team Lead orientation training and Wound Basics within 90 days of hire.
- Commitment to a national accredited Wound Certification within 1 year of hire.
