Job Description

ABF Freight, an ArcBest company, is currently seeking an Operations Supervisor to join our team in Denver, CO. As an Operations Supervisor, you will be responsible for planning, supervising, and controlling available resources associated with the loading and unloading of freight on assigned shifts. You will ensure the timely and safe handling of freight, maintain proper load plans, and provide a positive and safe working environment for all personnel.

Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise, and control resources for timely and safe freight handling.
• Maintain proper load plans and ensure safe vehicle operation.
• Assign job tasks and monitor performance of workers.
• Provide training, performance feedback, and disciplinary recommendations.
• Ensure safe handling and storage of hazardous materials.
• Foster a positive and safe working environment.
• Collaborate within a team to achieve department goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Service Center or transportation experience preferred.
• Supervisory experience and knowledge of freight handling techniques preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• General knowledge of freight handling and transportation.
