ABF Freight is Seeking an Operations Supervisor

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Operations Supervisor to join ABF Freight, a trusted LTL carrier and an ArcBest company. As an Operations Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in planning, supervising, and coordinating resources to ensure the timely and safe loading/unloading of freight, as well as maintaining a positive and efficient work environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise, and control resources for safe loading/unloading of freight.
• Maintain load plans and ensure proper load balance for safe operation.
• Assign job tasks, provide training, and offer performance feedback.
• Ensure a clean and safe working environment, adhering to safety standards.
• Foster safe handling, loading, and storage of materials.
• Work collaboratively in a team setting to achieve department goals.
• Support a values-driven culture focused on creativity, integrity, and growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred, along with service center or transportation experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and general knowledge of freight handling techniques.
• Prior supervisory experience is a plus.
