Job Description

We are looking for an Assistant Retail Manager to join our team at Aldi. As an Assistant Store Manager, you will play a key role in managing day-to-day store activities, ensuring overall store performance, developing operational action plans, and identifying training opportunities for team growth. This is a full-time position with an average of 38 hours per week and a starting wage of $25.50 per hour.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing and implementing action plans to enhance operating results.
  • Communicate job responsibilities and expectations to team members for improved performance.
  • Identify training opportunities to support team development.
  • Ensure adherence to company strategy and core values to foster teamwork.
  • Monitor the competitive environment and provide feedback to enhance the store's position.
  • Participate in the interview process for hiring.
  • Supervise day-to-day store operations, escalating issues when needed.
  • Maintain inventory procedures, store cleanliness, and proper stock levels.
  • Merchandise products effectively to maximize sales.
  • Ensure product quality, freshness, and accurate signage.
  • Comply with company policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years or older to apply.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Prior retail experience and management skills.
  • Knowledge of budgeting and personnel management principles.
  • Operational knowledge of cash registers and store equipment.
  • Organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • State and local requirements for handling alcoholic beverages.

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years retail experience, management experience preferred.
  • Strong combination of education and experience.
