Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Customer Service and Stock Specialist to join our team at Aldi. As a crucial member of our store operations, you will be responsible for merchandising, stocking products, cashiering, and ensuring a clean and welcoming environment for our customers. By providing exceptional customer service and working collaboratively with the ALDI team, you will play a vital role in enhancing the shopping experience for our customers.
Position Details
- Position Type: Full-Time
- Average Hours: 32-40 hours per week
- Starting Wage: $16.50 per hour
Duties and Responsibilities
- Demonstrate the Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.) required for the role.
- Process customer purchases, maintain cleanliness, and organize product displays.
- Provide exceptional customer service and assist shoppers during their visit.
- Collaborate with team members and effectively communicate with store management.
- Offer feedback on products, inventory, and store issues.
- Participate in inventory management following company guidelines.
- Adhere to cash handling policies to ensure security and minimize losses.
- Follow established company policies with a focus on confidentiality and security.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older to be employed at ALDI.
- Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service.
- Efficient and accurate operation of a cash register.
- Safe handling of equipment including hand jacks, floor scrubbers, and balers.
- Ability to maintain store cleanliness and follow company standards.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Capability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
- Meet state and local requirements for handling alcoholic beverages if applicable.
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior retail work experience is a plus.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
