We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Director of Life Claims and Investigations to join our dynamic team at USAA. In this critical role, you will oversee Life, Annuity & Health claims, and fraud investigation programs, ensuring exceptional member experiences during difficult times. Your responsibilities will include managing the Life Special Investigation Unit, developing operational strategies, maintaining industry relationships, and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance and support to staff in claims interpretation.
• Lead claim investigations and ensure business performance alignment with objectives.
• Develop and implement strategic plans for Claims Security.
• Create and maintain collaborative relationships with internal and external partners.
• Manage hiring, training, and performance evaluation processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 8 years of relevant business experience with 3 years in Claims and/or Insurance Fraud.
• 3 years of direct team lead or management experience.
• Prior experience in Life Insurance and/or annuity claims preferred.
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
