Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated Full-Time Store Associate to join our team at Aldi. As a Store Associate, you will play a key role in ensuring a pleasant shopping experience for our customers by merchandising, stocking products, cashiering, and maintaining the store's cleanliness. You will collaborate with the ALDI team to deliver exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate the Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.)
- Process customer purchases, stock shelves, and maintain merchandise displays
- Provide excellent customer service and assist customers during their shopping experience
- Communicate effectively with team members and store management
- Offer feedback on products, inventory, and any issues to management
- Participate in inventory counts and ensure accuracy
- Adhere to cash policies and procedures
- Comply with company policies, maintaining document security and confidentiality
- Perform other assigned duties
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years or older
- Ability to deliver prompt and courteous customer service
- Efficient operation of a cash register
- Safe use of equipment like hand jacks, floor scrubbers, etc.
- Capability to meet company cleaning standards
- Strong communication skills
- Work well independently and in a team
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask
- Meet state and local requirements for selling alcoholic beverages
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior retail experience is a plus
- Combination of education and experience considered
