Job Description
We are looking for a Full-Time Store Associate to join our team at Aldi. As a Store Associate, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the customer shopping experience through merchandising, stocking products, cashiering, and maintaining store cleanliness. You will collaborate with the ALDI team to deliver exceptional customer service and contribute to the efficient operation of the store.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate ALDI's Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.)
- Process customer purchases, stock shelves, and maintain merchandise displays
- Provide outstanding customer service and assist customers during their shopping experience
- Communicate effectively with team members and report any issues to management
- Participate in inventory counts and ensure inventory accuracy
- Follow cash policies and procedures to minimize losses
- Adhere to company policies while maintaining document and data security
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Minimum age of 18 years
- Ability to deliver prompt and courteous customer service
- Efficient operation of a cash register
- Safe operation of equipment and ability to perform cleaning duties
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently and with a team
- Organizational skills, attention to detail, and multitasking abilities
- Compliance with state and local regulations for handling and selling alcoholic beverages
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior retail work experience is a plus
- Combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge
