Full-Time Store Manager Trainee

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Full-Time Store Manager Trainee to join our team at Aldi. As a Store Manager Trainee, you will undergo comprehensive training in all aspects of store management to prepare for running your own store successfully. Your responsibilities will include supervising daily store operations, ensuring high levels of customer service, managing staffing needs, and developing operational strategies while mentoring and leading the team.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day store operations and team performance.
• Understand company strategy and promote core values among employees.
• Handle customer concerns and ensure resolutions.
• Maintain store signage, product quality, and freshness.
• Assist in hiring and training store personnel.
• Establish and communicate job responsibilities and performance expectations.
• Conduct store meetings and performance evaluations.
• Manage store payroll, budgets, and total loss.
• Monitor competition and provide product feedback.
• Ensure a safe environment for employees, customers, and vendors.
• Oversee product merchandising and stock levels.
• Conduct inventory counts and follow company policies.

Job Qualifications

• 18 years or older.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Knowledge of company policies and procedures.
• Experience in goal setting and employee development.
• Management principles and budgeting skills.
• Proficient in operating a cash register and store equipment.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask.
• Meets state and local requirements for alcohol handling.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of retail experience.
• Combination of education and experience considered.
• Prior management experience preferred.
