Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Full-Time Store Manager Trainee to join our team at Aldi. As a Store Manager Trainee, you will undergo comprehensive training in all aspects of store management to prepare you for future leadership roles. Your responsibilities will include supervising daily store operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, managing staffing needs, and implementing operational plans while mentoring and developing a high-performing team.

Starting wage: $27.50 per hour
Estimated Year 1 earnings: Up to $101,000 (including salary and bonuses)

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate professionalism and leadership qualities in line with ALDI's core competencies.
• Supervise team members to deliver exceptional customer service.

• Handle customer issues promptly and effectively.
• Maintain store presentation and product quality standards.
• Participate in the hiring and training of store staff.
• Create and manage weekly schedules to ensure adequate staffing levels.
• Set performance expectations and provide feedback to team members.
• Conduct performance evaluations and recommend advancements or corrective actions.
• Ensure store budget and loss prevention goals are met.
• Monitor market trends and recommend adjustments to maintain competitiveness.
• Provide input on product selection and inventory management.
• Ensure a safe and organized store environment.
• Conduct inventory management following company guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong leadership and communication abilities.
• Familiarity with retail policies and procedures.
• Experience in budgeting and managing expenses.
• Proficient in using a cash register and store equipment.
• Detail-oriented and organized.
• Compliance with alcohol handling requirements.

Education and Experience

High School Diploma preferred
Minimum 3 years of retail experience
Prior management experience is a plus

Travel

Flexibility to travel to multiple locations as needed
