We are seeking a dedicated Full-Time Store Manager Trainee to join our team at Aldi. As a Store Manager Trainee, you will undergo comprehensive training in all aspects of store management to prepare you for a successful career in overseeing store operations. Your responsibilities will include supervising daily activities, ensuring exceptional customer service, managing team schedules, and implementing operational strategies while fostering team development.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise team operations to deliver top-notch customer service.
  • Communicate and exemplify company strategies and values to promote teamwork.
  • Address customer inquiries and ensure timely resolutions.
  • Maintain store signage, product quality, and freshness.
  • Participate in the recruitment and selection of store personnel.
  • Create and manage weekly schedules for optimal staffing levels.
  • Set performance expectations and conduct evaluations for direct reports.
  • Manage store budgets and cash audits according to guidelines.
  • Monitor market trends and provide feedback on product offerings.
  • Ensure a safe in-store environment for all stakeholders.
  • Oversee merchandising and inventory management.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures while upholding data confidentiality.

Requirements

  • Minimum age of 18 years to work at Aldi.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Demonstrated aptitude for exceptional customer service.
  • Skilled in interpreting and applying company policies.
  • Experience in budgeting and personnel management.
  • Proficient in cash register operations and equipment handling.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking efficiently.
  • Compliance with state regulations for the sale of alcoholic beverages.
  • High School Diploma preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of progressive retail experience.
  • Combination of education and experience equivalent will be considered.
  • Prior managerial experience is a plus.
