Infection Control Nurse -- LPN/LVN

Job Description

Join our clinical team at Genesis Healthcare as an Infection Control Nurse (LPN/LVN). In this role under the guidance of a Registered Nurse (RN), you will be responsible for managing the Infection Prevention and Control Program at one or multiple centers. Your duties will include activities related to infection prevention and control, outbreak management, employee health, and outcome surveillance.

Responsibilities

• Implement and oversee Infection Prevention and Control Program.
• Manage outbreak situations effectively.
• Serve as a resource and educator for staff on infection control practices.
• Conduct surveillance to identify, analyze, and report infections.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with LPN/LVN licensure.
• Specialized training in infection prevention and control.
• Minimum three years of full-time nursing experience, ideally in long-term care.
• Previous experience in infection prevention is a plus.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and nights.
