Job Description
The University of Vermont Health Network is looking for Licensed Practical Nurses to join our Memory Care Unit at Helen Porter Nursing & Rehabilitation. As an LPN in our facility, you will provide skilled nursing care and assistance to residents in a warm, supportive, and safe environment. We offer various shifts and opportunities, including limited per diem options with differentials and a sign-on bonus up to $7,500 subject to eligibility.
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate care to individuals with dementia in the Memory Care Unit.
- Assist residents with daily living activities and maintain their dignity and functional ability.
- Work collaboratively with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals to ensure the well-being of residents.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with current LPN licensure.
- Prior experience in long-term care is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and customer service skills.
About Helen Porter Nursing & Rehabilitation - Memory Care Unit
Our Memory Care Unit is a specialized program designed to cater to individuals with dementia. Residents receive activity-based care in a compassionate environment with the primary goal of maintaining their dignity and functional ability. The unit is staffed by dedicated advocates and team members who ensure the well-being of residents who are often unable to advocate for themselves.
