Maintenance Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Homewood Suites Glen Allen. The role involves maintaining the physical structure of the hotel, including performing minor repairs and routine maintenance tasks. You will be responsible for tasks like painting, plumbing, electrical work, and ensuring the hotel's equipment is well-maintained.

Responsibilities

• Performing minor and routine maintenance activities such as painting, plumbing, and electrical work.
• Replacing air-conditioner filters and monitoring heating and cooling systems.
• Training and working with hotel maintenance staff.
• Maintaining the appearance of the hotel's interior and exterior.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED certification required.
• Bachelor’s Degree and/or extensive experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
• 1-2 years of hotel maintenance experience is a plus.
• Strong technical skills in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry.

Physical Requirements

The role involves standing for long hours, using hands for various tasks, and occasionally bending or reaching. Physical demands include lifting up to 25 pounds, and specific vision abilities are necessary.
