Join our team at Hillcrest Medical Center as a full-time Medical Laboratory Assistant (MLA) for the night shift in Tulsa, OK. As an MLA, you will play a crucial role in upholding our commitment to exceptional patient care and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Promote professionalism and foster a cooperative working environment.
• Ensure accurate specimen collection following laboratory guidelines.
• Communicate effectively with care providers about patient data and laboratory samples.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
• Demonstrate competency in following protocols and procedural directions.
• Organize workload efficiently and collaborate with coworkers to maintain productivity.
• Follow proper protocols for specimen packaging, transport, and processing.
• Perform patient registration, lab test ordering, specimen processing, and distribution.
• Adhere to infection control practices and patient identification protocols.
• Provide phlebotomy services in a professional and patient-centered manner.
• Engage in self-evaluation to enhance knowledge and skills.
• Promote service excellence and contribute to the growth of the laboratory.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Certification as a phlebotomist from a nationally recognized agency preferred upon hire.
• Certification as a medical lab assistant from a nationally recognized agency within 2 years of hire.
• Experience in a clinical setting is advantageous.
