Operations Supervisor I - Denver, CO

Job Description

We are looking for a talented Operations Supervisor I to join our team at ABF Freight, an ArcBest company, in Denver, CO. As a part of our expanding organization, you will be responsible for planning, supervising, and controlling resources to ensure timely, damage-free, and safe loading/unloading of freight on assigned shifts.

Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise, and control available resources for loading/unloading of freight.
• Maintain load plans and ensure proper load balance for safe operations.
• Assign tasks to workers, coordinate work assignments, and monitor performance.
• Provide training, feedback, and disciplinary recommendations.
• Ensure a clean and safe working environment for all personnel.
• Promote safe handling, loading, unloading, and storage of materials.
• Work collaboratively in a team setting to achieve department goals.
• Support a values-driven culture focused on creativity, integrity, and excellence.
• Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience in transportation and/or related field preferred.
• Supervisory experience is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• General knowledge of freight handling techniques.
