Operations Supervisor I - Salt Lake City, UT

Job Description

We are looking for a motivated Operations Supervisor I to join our team in Salt Lake City, UT at ABF Freight, an ArcBest company. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for planning, supervising, and controlling resources to ensure the safe and efficient loading and unloading of freight.

General Duties

• Plan, supervise, and control resources for timely, safe, and damage-free loading/unloading of freight.
• Maintain load plans and ensure proper load balance for safe operations.
• Assign tasks, monitor performance, and provide training and feedback.
• Ensure a clean and safe working environment, especially with hazardous materials.
• Work collaboratively in a team setting to achieve department goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; experience in transportation and supervisory roles desirable.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• General knowledge of freight, imports, exports, and freight handling techniques.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude.
