We are looking for a detail-oriented and compassionate Phlebotomist to join our team at Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa, OK. As a full-time evening shift Phlebotomist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring proper specimen collection and supporting our healthcare team in delivering exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities

• Promote professionalism and maintain a cooperative work environment.
• Ensure specimens are collected following laboratory guidelines.
• Communicate effectively to relay important patient or sample information.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
• Follow procedural directions and protocols accurately.
• Assist in prioritizing workload to maximize productivity.
• Handle specimen packaging, transport, and accessioning.
• Practice proper infection control, patient identification, and specimen transport procedures.
• Perform drug screen collections and processing.
• Engage in self-evaluation to enhance knowledge and skills.
• Ensure quality care and promote service excellence.
• Collaborate with multiple departments to support the healthcare system.
• Perform arterial puncture procedures when necessary.
• Respond to emergent conditions promptly and appropriately.
• Answer laboratory phone calls and provide professional phlebotomy services.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Basic computer skills.
• Completion of an accredited phlebotomy/medical assistant program with clinical experience (preferred).
• Prior experience in a clinical setting (preferred).
