Job Description
We are looking for a motivated Phlebotomist to join The University of Vermont Health Network team at Woodridge. As an LNA / Phlebotomist, you will be responsible for phlebotomy specimen collections, providing direct and indirect nursing care, and ensuring a safe and secure environment for residents.
Responsibilities
- Identify and prioritize residents in need of phlebotomy services.
- Perform venipunctures and collect urine specimens following standard procedures.
- Complete daily care needs of residents and monitor their condition.
- Prepare residents for meals, record vital signs, and assist in admission and discharge processes.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance resident care and satisfaction.
Requirements
- Completed approved phlebotomy course with venipuncture experience.
- Certification in Phlebotomy preferred.
- Registered as a Licensed Nursing Assistant in the State of Vermont.
- Prior experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to perform basic nursing care skills.
