Product Development Specialist

Job Description

We are looking for a Product Development Specialist to join Nestlé Purina, a leader in the pet care industry. As part of the Technical Services group, you will play a key role in developing new pet food products and enhancing existing ones to ensure top-notch quality and customer satisfaction. This position requires a strong background in food formulation, innovation, and project management.

Responsibilities

• Manage the development, scale-up, and implementation of new and existing technologies for product improvement.
• Explore innovative pet food product/process possibilities based on cutting-edge food technology.
• Act as a technical resource for marketing to develop a robust pipeline of product development opportunities.
• Support product formulation and ensure compliance with ingredient, nutritional, regulatory, and analytical requirements.
• Lead cost reduction initiatives for product lines and factories.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• 1+ years of experience in product development, food formulation, or related fields.
• Approximately 50% travel required.

Compensation and Benefits

The approximate salary for this position ranges from $80,000 to $103,000, with performance-based incentives and a competitive total rewards package including healthcare coverage, 401k with Company match, and other benefits.
