Registered Nurse for Cardiac & Vascular Care

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team at The University of Vermont Health Network in the Cardiac Vascular Care Unit. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a crucial role in managing and coordinating care for post-procedural extended recovery and observational care patients. Your responsibilities will include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient outcomes while maintaining high standards of professional nursing care.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate care for cardiac and vascular patients during their recovery.
• Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient outcomes.
• Direct and guide the delivery of nursing care and patient education.
• Collaborate with other healthcare disciplines to ensure comprehensive care.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Currently licensed as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State.
• Required BLS or ACLS certification, with ACLS certification within 6 months of hire.
• Minimum of one year of nursing experience preferred.
• Completion of Cardiac Rhythm and Critical Care courses within specified timeframes.
• Ability to prioritize, perform multiple job responsibilities in a timely manner.
• Flexibility and willingness to learn new skills.

Training in attending to the special needs of patients as appropriate to their age is a plus.
