Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated Regional Manager of Safety and Security to join ABF Freight, an ArcBest company. As a Regional Manager, you will be responsible for safeguarding company assets, ensuring safe working conditions, and maintaining compliance with regulations. You will play a crucial role in preventing accidents, investigating incidents, and implementing corrective measures to enhance safety.
General Description of Duties
- Conduct safety and security inspections of facilities.
- Investigate vehicular accidents and handle necessary procedures.
- Lead loss prevention meetings and training sessions.
- Analyze data, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with enforcement agencies and management.
- Train personnel on hazardous material handling and safety protocols.
- Assist in DOT compliance and law enforcement activities.
- Oversee personnel, expenditures, and route-related decisions.
- Maintain a positive environment and teamwork.
- Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree preferred, or relevant experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in transportation, safety, or related fields.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of safety regulations, accident investigation, and law enforcement.
