Job Description
We are looking for a talented individual to join our team as a Regional Manager for Safety and Security at ArcBest II ABF Freight. As a Regional Manager, Safety & Security, you will play a critical role in protecting company assets, ensuring safe working conditions, and maintaining compliance with regulations. Your responsibilities will include conducting safety and security inspections, investigating accidents, analyzing data, conducting loss prevention training, and liaising with regulatory agencies.
Responsibilities
- Conduct safety and security inspections of company facilities
- Investigate vehicular accidents and handle necessary reports
- Analyze data to identify root causes and implement corrective actions
- Conduct training sessions on safety and security
- Liaise with enforcement agencies and ABF management
- Assist in hazardous material spills investigations
- Administer new-hire orientation sessions on safety awareness
- Observe and direct personnel performance
- Assist in special projects and assignments
- Work collaboratively with team members to achieve department goals
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred; relevant experience may be considered
- Minimum of five years of experience in safety, transportation, or law enforcement
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations, DOT compliance, and investigative procedures
- Ability to work irregular hours and potentially hazardous situations
