Job Description
We are looking for a Store Operations Assistant to join our team at Aldi. As a vital part of our store operations, you will be responsible for merchandising, stocking products, cashiering, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. By providing exceptional customer service and collaborating with our team, you will enhance the overall shopping experience for our customers.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate the Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.).
- Process customer purchases, maintain cleanliness, and organize merchandise displays.
- Assist customers in their shopping experience and communicate effectively with the team and management.
- Provide feedback on inventory, scanning errors, and product issues.
- Participate in inventory counts and adhere to cash handling policies.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures for security and confidentiality.
- Perform other assigned duties as needed.
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Ability to offer prompt and courteous customer service.
- Proficient in operating a cash register and store equipment.
- Capable of maintaining cleanliness to company standards.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently or in a team environment.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of multitasking efficiently.
- Compliance with state and local regulations for alcohol sales.
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior retail experience is a plus.
- A combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.
