Store Operations Assistant

Job Description

As a Store Operations Assistant at Aldi, you will play a vital role in maintaining the store's operations smoothly. Your responsibilities will include merchandising, stocking products, cashiering, and ensuring the store is clean and organized, all while providing exceptional customer service. You will collaborate with the ALDI team to enhance the shopping experience and contribute to a positive work environment.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate ALDI's Mindsets, Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.)
• Process customer purchases, maintain cleanliness, and neatly display merchandise
• Provide exceptional customer service and assist shoppers
• Communicate effectively with team members and store management
• Offer feedback on products, inventory, and other store-related matters
• Participate in inventory counts and ensure inventory accuracy
• Follow cash handling policies to minimize losses
• Adhere to company policies, maintain document security, and uphold confidentiality
• Perform other assigned duties as necessary

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older
• Provide prompt and courteous customer service
• Efficiently operate a cash register
• Safely operate equipment such as hand jacks and floor scrubbers
• Perform general cleaning duties to company standards
• Excellent communication skills
• Work independently and as part of a team
• Stay organized, detail-oriented, follow instructions, and multitask efficiently
• Meet all state and local requirements for handling alcoholic beverages

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous retail experience preferred
• Equivalent combination of education and experience
