Store Operations Assistant

Job Description

We are looking for a Store Operations Assistant to join our team at Aldi. As a key member, you will be responsible for various in-store activities, including merchandising, cashiering, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment to ensure an excellent shopping experience for our customers.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate ALDI's Mindsets, Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.).
• Process customer purchases, maintain store cleanliness, and stock shelves efficiently.
• Provide exceptional customer service and assist shoppers during their visit.
• Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with store management.
• Contribute feedback on products, inventory, and general store issues.
• Participate in inventory counts and ensure inventory accuracy.
• Follow cash handling policies to minimize losses and uphold company procedures.
• Adhere to company policies while maintaining document security and confidentiality.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to offer prompt and courteous customer service.
• Efficient operation of a cash register and store equipment.
• Capability to perform cleaning duties to company standards.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to follow instructions, and multitasking capability.
• Meet state and local requirements for selling alcoholic beverages.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior retail work experience is an asset.
• Combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.
