Job Description

As a Store Operations Assistant at Aldi, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the store operates efficiently and provides exceptional customer service. You will be responsible for tasks such as merchandising, stocking, cashiering, and maintaining the cleanliness of the store to enhance the shopping experience for customers. This is a full-time position averaging 32-40 hours per week with a starting wage of $18.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate the Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills as outlined for the role.
  • Process customer purchases, maintain cleanliness, and ensure proper stocking of shelves.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, assist customers during their shopping experience.
  • Collaborate with team members and effectively communicate with store management.
  • Monitor inventory accuracy, perform store inventory counts, and report any issues to management.
  • Adhere to cash handling policies, minimize losses, and comply with company procedures.
  • Perform physical tasks such as stocking merchandise and operating store equipment.

Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service.
  • Proficiency in operating a cash register and store equipment.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred, prior retail experience is a plus.
  • Ability to meet state and local requirements for handling and selling alcoholic beverages.
