Store Operations Assistant

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Store Operations Assistant to join our team at Aldi. As a valued member of our store operations, you will be responsible for various tasks including merchandising, stocking products, cashiering, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment to ensure an exceptional shopping experience for our customers.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate ALDI's core Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills in daily tasks.
• Process customer purchases, maintain store cleanliness, and organize merchandise displays.
• Provide outstanding customer service and assist shoppers during their visit.
• Collaborate effectively with team members and communicate efficiently with store management.
• Report any inventory discrepancies, product feedback, and operational issues to management.
• Participate in inventory counts and ensure accuracy in stock levels.
• Adhere to cash handling policies to minimize errors and losses.
• Follow company procedures while maintaining document security and confidentiality.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to deliver prompt and courteous customer service.
• Efficiently operate a cash register with accuracy.
• Safely handle equipment like hand jacks, floor scrubbers, and balers.
• Execute general cleaning tasks in line with company standards.
• Interpret and apply company policies effectively.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Work well independently and within a team.
• Stay organized, detail-oriented, and multitask efficiently.
• Meet state requirements for alcohol sales.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior retail experience is advantageous.
• A blend of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.
