Store Operations Assistant

Job Description

We are looking for a Store Operations Assistant to join our team at Aldi. As a vital member of our store operations, you will be responsible for various tasks such as merchandising, stocking products, cashiering, and maintaining cleanliness to ensure an exceptional shopping experience for our customers.

Position Details

• Position Type: Full-Time
• Average Hours: 32-40 hours per week
• Starting Wage: $17.00 per hour

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate the ALDI M.A.P. principles in daily activities.
• Process customer purchases and maintain a clean store environment.
• Provide excellent customer service and assist shoppers effectively.
• Collaborate with team members and communicate clearly with management.
• Contribute to inventory monitoring and store inventory counts.
• Adhere to cash policies and company procedures.
• Follow established policies to ensure document security and confidentiality.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum age requirement: 18 years old.
• Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service.
• Efficient and accurate operation of a cash register.
• Safe operation of equipment including manual hand jacks and floor scrubbers.
• Ability to interpret and apply company policies.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Capacity to work independently or in a team environment.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Meet state and local requirements for selling alcoholic beverages.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior retail experience is advantageous.
• A combination of education and experience is acceptable.
