Store Operations Assistant

Job Description

We are looking for a Store Operations Assistant to join our team at ALDI. As a vital part of our store operations, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks including merchandising, stocking products, cashiering, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. Your role will contribute to enhancing the overall customer shopping experience by providing exceptional customer service and collaborating effectively with our team.

Position Details

• Position Type: Full-Time
• Average Hours: 32-40 hours per week
• Starting Wage: $16.50 per hour

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate ALDI's core Mindsets, Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills
• Process customer purchases, stock shelves, and maintain merchandise displays
• Provide outstanding customer service and assist customers during their shopping experience
• Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with store management
• Provide feedback on products, inventory, and any issues to management
• Take store inventory counts and ensure inventory accuracy
• Follow cash handling policies and uphold company procedures
• Adhere to company policies to maintain document and data security

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older
• Ability to deliver prompt and courteous customer service
• Efficient cash register operation and equipment handling skills
• Capable of performing general cleaning duties to company standards
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask
• Meet state and local requirements for handling alcoholic beverages

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous retail experience is advantageous
• Equivalent combination of education and experience is considered
