Job Description

As a Store Operations Assistant at Aldi, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the customer shopping experience through various in-store activities. From merchandising and stocking products to providing exceptional customer service, you will work collaboratively with the ALDI team to ensure the store's success.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate the Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.) as outlined for the role.
  • Process customer purchases, maintain cleanliness, and organize product displays effectively.
  • Provide top-notch customer service and assist customers during their shopping experience.
  • Communicate clearly with team members and store management to ensure smooth operations.
  • Offer feedback on products, inventory status, and any store-related concerns.
  • Participate in inventory counts and uphold cash handling policies to minimize losses.
  • Adhere to company policies, maintain confidentiality, and ensure security of documents and data.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Physical Demands

  • Stock merchandise, lift items up to 45 pounds, and handle store equipment.
  • Engage in various physical activities like bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, and walking around the store.

Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service.
  • Efficient operation of cash registers and store equipment.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Capability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Meet state and local requirements for alcohol handling and sales.

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Prior retail experience is advantageous.
  • Combination of education and experience is considered.
