Store Operations Assistant

Job Description

We are looking for a committed Store Operations Assistant to join ALDI's team. As a key member, you will be responsible for various in-store activities including merchandising, cashiering, and maintaining a clean and orderly store environment to ensure a pleasant shopping experience for our customers.

$18.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities

• Demonstrate ALDI's values and professionalism in all tasks.
• Process customer purchases and maintain a well-organized store layout.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and assist shoppers throughout their visit.
• Work collaboratively with team members and communicate effectively with management.
• Provide feedback on products, inventory, and any operational issues.
• Participate in inventory management activities and ensure accuracy.
• Adhere to cash handling policies and procedures to minimize discrepancies.
• Follow company policies, maintain data confidentiality, and uphold security measures.
• Undertake any other duties as assigned by the management.

Physical Demands

• Stock merchandise and handle products weighing up to 45 pounds.
• Engage in various physical activities within the store environment.
• Perform duties with or without reasonable accommodations as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Proven ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service.
• Efficiently operate a cash register and store equipment.
• Execute general cleaning tasks according to company standards.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or within a team structure.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of multitasking effectively.
• Meet all state and local requirements for handling alcoholic beverages.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior retail experience is advantageous.
• A mix of education and practical experience will be considered.
