Job Description
We are in search of a talented and experienced VP, Late Development Team Lead in the field of Oncology to join Jazz Pharmaceuticals, a global biopharmaceutical company dedicated to transforming the lives of patients through innovative medical solutions. As the Late Development Team Lead, you will play a vital role in driving late product lifecycle strategies, overseeing global product development plans, and collaborating with key stakeholders to ensure the successful progression of products from proof of concept to approval.
Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional Late Development Teams in crafting and executing product strategies from POC to approval.
- Develop and communicate a compelling vision and strategy for product development in alignment with company objectives.
- Collaborate with key functions to identify and evaluate global development opportunities that optimize patient value.
- Provide strategic guidance to functional matrix teams and activities, ensuring alignment with project goals.
- Mentor team members, drive team accountability, and optimize team performance.
- Participate in critical governance reviews and escalate risks and issues to senior leadership.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive development strategy and establish effective relationships.
- Engage in disease area assessments and cross-molecule initiatives to contribute to portfolio growth.
Requirements
- Over 15 years of global multi-disciplinary drug development experience in the pharma/biotech industry.
- Proven track record in leading late-stage drug development programs, particularly in Solid Tumor Oncology.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to balance innovation with program risks and speed.
- Experience in managing collaborations and alliances to drive successful project outcomes.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, cross-cultural management skills, and diversity and inclusion leadership.
Education and Licenses
- Advanced degree (MD, PhD, PharmD) required.
